Six Sessions

This six week session will focus on handbuilding functional and sculptural projects, with emphasis on holiday gift items.

Demos will include creating unique lidded butter dishes, candlestick holder forms, small holiday platters/bowls, and light weight porcelain slip trailing ornaments.

We will be trying out some new surface techniques using fritted glass, as well as use underglaze decals and sgrafitto techniques on our projects. Both classes are open to all levels of experience.

If you are interested in working on your own ideas but would like some technical and design guidance, we can accommodate your needs. Open to all levels.

Classes are held at Tower Arts Studio, 5424 South Shore Road, a short block and a half walk up from the Guemes ferry dock on Guemes Island.

Cost: $265.00 and includes up to 10lbs of clay, use of studio tools, glazes, firings and Open Studio*.

Tuesdays, 12:30pm-4:30pm
Open to students who are enrolled in weekly classes at Tower Art Studio. This gives students the opportunity to work independently in the studio, without instruction on their projects after class time.
